Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has said that friendship and strategic partnership with China has broad political support in Pakistan.
In a meeting with the Minister for International Department of the Communist Party of China Mr. Liu Jianchao in Beijing on Wednesday. He appreciated the role of CPC in China’s peaceful rise and economic development while congratulating him on the successful holding of two annual meetings.
The federal minister paid tribute to President Xi’s vision for launching initiatives like Belt and Road Initiative, Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative.
Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal referred to the successful visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Beijing in November 2022 and both sides agreed to IDCPC for capacity building through special training of young Pakistani political leaders and professionals in China. Also agreed to work on support methods and share experiences on governance model of CPC.
Rural development, youth empowerment, poverty alleviation, economic growth, use of technology, export growth and industrialization were also agreed upon. He also invited Mr. Liu Jianchao to Pakistan to continue the dialogue and cooperation to further strengthen bilateral relations.
