KARACHI: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto has said that Pakistan is a country of democrats but since the constitution was made, efforts are being made to rob it.
Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said in the ceremony held on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the 1973 Constitution that the Sindh Assembly was the first to pass a resolution in favor of Pakistan and the 1973 Constitution was given by Bhutto Shaheed.
Bilawal Bhutto further said that the people have the right to vote because of the Constitution of Pakistan, but ever since the Constitution was made, attempts are being made to rob it and the Constitution of Pakistan has had to go through the test many times.
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto said that the Constitution of Pakistan is an agreement between the state and the citizens. As long as we keep fighting, someone else will take advantage. People can decide the governance of this country only by using the right to vote.
Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto further said that General Retired Musharraf attacked the Constitution, then Shaheed Benazir Bhutto herself went to the political opponents and talked about the Charter of Democracy.
