Islamabad: Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Moazzam Jah Ansari has said in a briefing to the Election Commission that the province is ready for elections.
A high-level meeting of the Election Commission was held on the issue of elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in which IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Moazzam Jah Ansari and Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Imdadullah Bosal participated.
According to the sources, while briefing the meeting, IGP has said that Pakhtunkhwa Police is ready for elections in the province. On this occasion, he also presented the plan for the deployment of forces for the elections. According to the sources, during the briefing, IGP said that similar incidents of terrorism have been happening before.
The Chief Secretary said in the meeting that it is the authority of the Governor to give the date of the elections, we will assist. In the meeting, Law Wing of the Election Commission also gave a briefing on the legal points related to the elections.
