Allegations of corruption and betting on Abu Dhabi T10 League

Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has launched an investigation into allegations of corruption and betting in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. According to the report of the British media, the International Cricket Council (ICC) anti-corruption unit received 12 reports of suspicious activities, of which at least 6 are considered to be of a serious nature. Officials say an unusual $15 million betting transaction during matches has caught the attention of ICC officials, who have been instructing owners on teams’ batting and bowling orders before seeing the conditions during the league. It was seen while many star players were dropped suddenly. Similarly, some batsmen lost wickets in a surprising manner during the league matches, for which the ICC has started investigating the cases.
