According to data released by Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense, China has been violating Taiwan’s maritime and airspace on a large scale. Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense says 71 aircraft, including Chinese Air Force fighter jets and drones, crossed the median line. It is being described as the biggest incursion ever made by China in the territory of Taiwan. On the other hand, China declared the US as a direct threat to the world and said that the military exercises in the sea and airspace around Taiwan are a response to the provocations of the US and Taiwan. Note that Taiwan is an independent island off the east coast of China that Beijing claims is part of China. China sees it as a breakaway province that will eventually become part of it again. Tensions between the two sides have risen steadily in recent months.
