IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar has decided to resign over the FIR of attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan. IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar wrote in a letter to the federal government that he can no longer continue his work. In a letter written by Inspector General Police Punjab Faisal Shahkar to the Secretary Establishment Division, it is said that due to some personal reasons, he cannot continue his services as IG Punjab, requesting that his services be immediately withdrawn from the Punjab government. They can no longer continue working. According to sources, IG Punjab was objecting to the names included in the FIR, after which differences arose between PTI, Punjab government and IG Punjab. Tehreek-e-Insaf Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi had yesterday demanded the resignation of his Punjab Government IG Police Faisal Shahkar. Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that if the IG Punjab cannot file an FIR , then leave the post.
