Chairman PTI Imran Khan has challenged the decision in court after being disqualified by the Election Commission

ISLAMABAD: Chairman PTI Imran Khan has challenged the decision in court after being disqualified by the Election Commission. Barrister Ali Zafar has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court on behalf of Imran Khan, in which it has been said that the Election Commission did not have the authority to decide on corrupt practices, disqualification. It is that the decision of the Election Commission on the Tosha Khana reference case should be annulled and the hearing of the case should be held today. According to sources, the application has been filed in the Islamabad High Court without a copy of the decision of the Election Commission. A copy of the application for supply of a copy of the judgment is attached. Meanwhile, Registrar Islamabad High Court Asad Khan has raised objections to Imran Khan’s petition, stating that Imran Khan has not submitted biometrics while an unattested copy is attached to the petition. The registrar’s office objected that there was no urgency in the case which needed to be heard today. On the other hand, Imran Khan’s lawyer, Ali Muhammad Bukhari, while talking to the media outside the Election Commission, said that the Election Commission had decided to disqualify Imran Khan. The Election Commission was also contacted yesterday to get the detailed decision, but the Election Commission has not yet provided a copy of the detailed decision. Lawyer Ali Muhammad Bukhari said that as per the law, a certified copy is given to the parties as soon as the decision is pronounced. The legal wing of the Election Commission is saying that the decision was not signed by the member. He alleged that the Election Commission is taking actions against the law which is unfortunate. He demanded that legal action should be taken against the actions of the Election Commission. I have been outside the Election Commission for an hour but nothing is being told. He questioned that if not signed by one member, how can the decision be said to be unanimous?
