Washington: US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken has said that the majority of Muslims around the world face discrimination and hatred due to religious beliefs and ideas.
According to TRT News, on the occasion of the International Day of Islamophobia, US Secretary of State Blanken said in his statement that religious freedom is a basic human right that everyone has.
Muslims face discrimination and hatred based on religion. In many countries, they face difficulties in practicing their religion and are harassed, arrested and even killed for being Muslims.
Antony Blanken added that everyone has the freedom to manifest these beliefs individually or collectively in public or private, in worship, practice and teaching.
It should be noted that on March 15, 2019, 51 worshipers were martyred and 40 injured in an attack on two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, and last year, the United Nations declared March 15 as the International Day Against Islamophobia.
